Mushrooms are Mother Nature’s proven way to support a normal immune response. Four Leaf Rovers’ whole mushrooms are double extracted, organic* and low in starch.  They third-party test all of their mushrooms to be low in heavy metals and rich in immune-enhancing beta-glucans.

The demand for mushrooms is growing, thanks to their unrivaled ability to support a healthy immune system in all animals.

Seven ‘Shrooms is a veterinary formulated blend of 7 whole mushrooms. Their double extraction process makes sure that the beneficial beta-glucans and triterpenoids in the mushrooms are bioavailable and able to enhance immune, liver and kidney function.

The mushrooms in Seven ‘Shrooms are grown in greenhouses on natural wood and substrates in filtered air. The whole mushroom is then double extracted and gently powdered, then tested for safety and a high beta-glucan content.

It’s important to note that most of the beta-glucan is found in the fruiting body of the mushroom. The downside is, mushrooms are expensive to grow.

In fact, most “mushroom” products are just mycelium, which is just the “roots” of the mushroom. To produce this, mycelium is put in plastic bags of sorghum, oats or rice, then put in a locker to grow. The mycelium is then ground up with the grains to make a high-starch product. Natural mushrooms however are low in starch, averaging about 4% carbohydrate.

So how can you tell the difference between real mushrooms and the other guy (mycelium)?

Simply look or ask for the beta-glucan content. If the product doesn’t provide the beta-glucan content (or if it’s low), you can be fairly certain the product is mycelium and not mushrooms. And don’t fall for a high polysaccharide content … anything with a lot of starch will be high in polysaccharides.

You can feel good about giving your dog Seven ‘Shrooms. It’s third-party tested for beta-glucan content and safety so your dog gets the unique mushroom benefits he needs.

Each mushroom in Seven ‘Shrooms is carefully crafted and double extracted for maximum beta-glucan and triterpenoid content. Here is the guaranteed beta-glucan content of each mushroom:

Turkey Tail – 53%
Reishi – 47%
Cordyceps – 27%
Maitake – 36%
Phellinus – 23%
Shiitake – 32%
Chaga – 16%

A whole jar of Seven ‘Shrooms averages 34.6% beta-glucans.

Four Leaf Rover’s Seven ‘Shrooms contains:-

Turkey Tail is a mushroom that grows on dead logs all around the world. Its Latin name is Trametes versicolor or Coriolus versicolor. Versicolor means of many colors. And that’s because Turkey Tail has colored rings that look a lot like the tail of a turkey. In Japan, Turkey Tail is called kawaratake, which means cloud mushroom. There are quite a few strains of Trametes, but Turkey Tail in particular is of interest to scientists and herbalists. Turkey Tail has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries to reduce phlegm, clear dampness, increase energy and support the immune system. In traditional Chinese medicine, it’s called Yun Zhi.

Chaga grows naturally on birch trees. That’s why they grow their Chaga mushrooms sustainably, on native materials. Research suggests Chaga may be able to help regulate and support the production of cytokines, which are essential to the immune system … and a good immune system can help fight off infection and disease.

Cordyceps are full of antioxidants. Cordyceps are known to help support physical performance and may support a healthy heart.

Phellinus Korea has done a lot of research showing Phellinus is a potent immune modulating mushroom. It is used to stimulate the immune system and protect against illness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why are most mushroom products not really mushrooms? Mushrooms contain what’s called the “fruiting body” (the part of the mushroom most people would recognize) and “mycelium”, the part that grows underground or inside the plant. Mycelium is like the the roots of the mushroom. Nearly all mushroom products are mycelium and not the actual mushroom. They’re grown in a lab on sterilized grains (such as rice, sorghum or oats) and ground into a powder. Mycelium products are not rich in beta-glucans like real mushrooms are. Beta-gulcans are the active compounds in mushrooms. Fruiting bodies are full spectrum and also offer more vitamins and minerals. If you’re not getting a real mushroom product then your dog is not getting all of the health benefits.

How are Four Leaf Rover Mushrooms grown?: All of their mushrooms are grown on wood, the way nature intended. This ensures that the important medicinal compounds are in the mushrooms. Grown in greenhouses, our mushrooms receive a constant flow of fresh air and water, along with natural sunlight. Every mushroom is tested for chemicals or contamination.

Why are these mushrooms water extracted and not dried: Fruiting bodies require hot water extraction to break down the chitin in the cell walls. Dogs and humans lack the enzyme to do this, so extraction is necessary to get all the nutrients from the fruiting body. Extraction pulls out the beta-glucans. The extraction is then purified and dried into a powder with all the beneficial mushroom parts intact.

Can I give my dog mushrooms more than once a day? If your dog doesn’t have any health challenges, once a day should be enough. But if your dog is fighting an illness, you can give mushrooms twice daily for up to 4-6 weeks or as directed by your vet.

Which should I buy? Turkey Tail or Seven ‘Shrooms?

Mushrooms work best synergistically, which is why they recommend Seven ‘Shrooms for all dogs. It includes 7 different organic mushrooms, which are veterinarian formulated for their benefits in dogs.

For dogs needing extra support, they recommend combining Turkey Tail with Seven ‘Shrooms because Turkey Tail is very rich in beta-glucans.

How you you ensure the mushrooms are high quality: Every batch of mushrooms is checked for bacteria, heavy metals and pesticides. The mushroom extracts are then tested for beta-glucan content to make sure the mushrooms are truly medicinal. Four Leaf Rover mushrooms are certified organic*, and free from heavy metals and pesticides. No mycelium, no grains and no starch ever.

Suitable for dogs aged 6 months and over.
